Baek Jong-won's Dakgalbi Recipe

3 servings Within 60 minutes
Ingredients
ingredient
600g chicken, cabbage, 2 potatoes (or sweet potatoes), carrot, 1 onion, scallions, green chili pepper, perilla leaves, tteokbokki rice cakes ,
seasoning
3 tablespoons gochujang, 3 tablespoons red pepper flakes, 3-4 tablespoons soy sauce, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 2-3 tablespoons minced garlic, 3 tablespoons mirin (or soju), red pepper flakes, salt
Steps
First, thoroughly wash the chicken for Dakgalbi.
Make the seasoning by combining gochujang, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, cooking wine or soju, black pepper, and sesame oil.
(As Baek Jong-won says, add a generous amount of seasoning to make it really flavorful! Since vegetables are added, add a generous amount of seasoning to make it tasty.)
Cut the vegetables for Dakgalbi into small and thin pieces.
The vegetables I prepared are cabbage, potatoes & sweet potatoes, onions, carrots, green onions, green chili peppers, perilla leaves, and rice cakes.
Add half a cup or one cup of water to a pot (paper cup).
Add the seasoned chicken to the pot and simmer it instead of grilling, as Baek Jong-won suggests.
Once the chicken is partially cooked, add the prepared vegetables.
Add all the vegetables except cabbage and perilla leaves.
After cooking for a while, add the cabbage.
Finally, add the perilla leaves and stir-fry for a little longer. And it's done~
