STEP 1/24
You can change the main ingredients according to your preference. Romaine, paprika, and peanuts are good, and if you can't eat silantro, you can replace them with fragrant vegetables such as mint, perilla leaves, and angelica. You don't have to add pork or chicken or meat. I think the biggest charm of Vietnamese rolls is that they can consist of only the ingredients I like. We put boiled rice noodles in it, but we took them out because we wanted to eat more vegetables than carbohydrates.
STEP 2/24
First, slice and sift all vegetables so that the sauce can soak well.
STEP 3/24
Chop the cucumber, carrot, and apple, too. It's convenient to use a chopping knife, so please be careful with your hands.
STEP 4/24
Wash the silantro and the bean sprouts thoroughly to remove moisture.
STEP 5/24
Boil the cocktail shrimp in boiling water
STEP 6/24
Tear the crab meat thinly.
STEP 7/24
You can grill fish cake and beef and boil it to suit your taste.
STEP 8/24
Shred the fish cake into thin slices.
STEP 9/24
I'm going to make the sauce.
STEP 10/24
First, chop up the garlic.
STEP 11/24
Chop up the peppers, too.
STEP 12/24
Pour all the pineapple soup into the ingredients
STEP 13/24
Chop the pulp thickly to make it easy to eat.
STEP 14/24
Add the fish sauce and mix it well, and that's it.
STEP 15/24
This sauce becomes more delicious as it ages.
STEP 16/24
I'll also make a super simple peanut sauce using Nueok Mom sauce.
STEP 17/24
Put a large spoonful of peanut butter in a bowl and mix it with a spoonful of fish sauce to dissolve the lump.
STEP 18/24
Add about 5 spoons of Nueok mom sauce
STEP 19/24
Stir until creamy.
STEP 20/24
A simple but really delicious sauce has been made.
STEP 21/24
You can soak the rice paper in lukewarm water and wrap it with all the ingredients you like.
STEP 22/24
It's a delicious spring roll that can be served when you invite guests in the hot summer.
STEP 23/24
I learned this recipe a long time ago when I was studying in Australia, and it was so famous among Australian residents even before Vietnamese rolls were known in Korea and the United States. Many of our soldiers who participated in the Vietnam War moved to Australia with their Vietnamese families after the war, but it was difficult to get Vietnamese ingredients such as tamarind at that time, so they made the easy-to-get canned pineapple sauce and it spread to the Korean community. Ingredients are now readily available everywhere and there are several versions of the sauce recipe, but this recipe is the best for my taste.
STEP 24/24
How about spring rolls filled with vegetables with your family this evening?
You can buy canned pineapples through Heavy Syrup, but if you can't get them, you can add sugar to suit your taste. The original Nuoc Mam sauce is very sweet, but it doesn't have to be the same. You can adjust it according to your preference.
