Making sikhye with malt tea bags
The cool sikhye that you can drink with thin ice flakes! Super easy recipe to make using malt tea bags!

Ingredients
  • a malt tea bag
    3pack
  • instant rice
    1bowl
  • Water
    2L
  • Sugar
    180g
Cooking Steps
STEP 1/7
Put one bowl of rice in an electric rice cooker (based on a rice cooker for six people)
STEP 2/7
Pour 2L of water and mix it gently with a spoon
STEP 3/7
Put 3 bags of malt tea bags and set the electric rice cooker to warm for 6 to 7 hours
STEP 4/7
After 6 to 7 hours, check how many grains of rice float and take out the tea bag
STEP 5/7
Transfer sikhye to a pot, please
STEP 6/7
Pour 180g of sugar and simmer until sugar melts (about 5 minutes after starting to boil)
STEP 7/7
Cool it down and put it in a bottle to cool it down
Sikhye gets sweeter as it cools, so don't add too much sugar
