Southeast Asian Taste ~ Korean melon Ssong Sweat~ How to make cu
Ssongtam means a sour salad made by grinding green papaya, fish sauce, garlic, nuts, lime juice, etc. into a mortar. It's easy to cook when ingredients are prepared, and the best thing is that it doesn't need to be lit in hot summer, so it goes well with summer side dishes. When I travel to Southeast Asia, there are some foods that are similar to Korean food, so I think one of them is Ssongtam. It was like a refreshing sweet salad that tasted like sour crunchy fish sauce and a light fresh kimchi without red pepper powder, so it suited our taste. In the local area, it was made with green papaya and it was cheap and delicious, so I always ordered it everywhere I went, but there are times when I miss the taste. It's hard to get green papaya, so they make it with melon or cucumber. I think you can make a soft watermelon shell. Today, I made it with Korean melon and cucumber, but you can make it separately or the sauce is the same, so it's delicious even if you mix the two ingredients together. It seems a bit salty when you mix the sauce in the beginning, but it's not salty when you mix it with the ingredients because you pour the sauce without seasoning. I still miss Green Papaya, but unfortunately, copying the taste with melon and cucumber is also a good memory to catch up.
