How to make hwajeon (Korean pancakes)
Now that spring flowers are starting to bloom, I wanted to cook pretty flowers I made a flower pancake with pretty edible flowers. It was a fun dish to be drunk on flowers and on the flow of the arts. It's pretty with flowers on it, but the outside is crispy, the inside is chewy, and the honey is sweet. I sat in front of a plate of hwajeon and ate it with a cup of tea, so I was happy because it seemed like you served me properly today People say that the food that people eat becomes that person. Since I ate flowers, I think it's going to be flowers~^^ [Laughing]

    200ml
  • Water
    100ml

    1/3ts

Cooking Steps
STEP 1/7
Pick a small flower and wash it in water once and drain it through a sieve.
STEP 2/7
Add some salt to the sticky rice powder
STEP 3/7
Add hot water and knead. You have to use hot water to make the dough chewy. Add 1 spoon of oil to prevent sticky rice dough from sticking to your hands.
STEP 4/7
Wash the sticky rice powder on your hands in water, apply a little oil, and cut the sticky rice dough into 12 pieces.
STEP 5/7
Heat the frying pan over medium high heat, add 3 spoons of oil, make a round dough of glutinous rice, place it on the palm of your hand, press it flat, and place it on the frying pan to brown it back and forth.
STEP 6/7
When done, turn off the heat and place the flowers on top of the dough and stick them together with a spoon. If you put the flowers on top and turn them upside down, the color of the flowers will fade, so it's not pretty.
STEP 7/7
Place on a plate and carefully spread the honey little by little to avoid damaging the flowers.
- For hwajeon glutinous rice dough, make dough with hot water. - If you put 1 spoon of oil in the dough and apply oil to your hands, the dough won't stick. - When the dough is fully cooked, you have to turn off the heat and stick it to the residual heat with a spoon to make the color come out nicely.
