STEP 1/12
Cut tofu in half and cut it into 3 pieces
Cut it into 6 pieces
If you cut it like this, it's the same width as spam
STEP 2/12
Put a kitchen towel on top and bottom to remove moisture
STEP 3/12
Spam is 200g. Cut spam into 4 pieces and pour hot water to remove some salty, oily, and additives
I only used 3 out of 4 pieces of spam to match the thickness of the tofu. You can cut it into 3 pieces
STEP 5/12
Cut tofu and remove moisture
Soak spam in hot water to remove impurities and rinse it in water
Beat in an egg
Place 1 spoonful of pancake mix on a plate
STEP 6/12
Put some pancake mix on top and bottom of the spam
STEP 7/12
Put it on top of the drained tofu
STEP 8/12
Next, put tofu on top of spam
(The flour acts as an adhesive and sticks together.)
STEP 9/12
Then, add a thin layer of pancake mix on the six sides
STEP 10/12
Dip the spam tofu sand in the egg mixture and coat it with the egg mixture
STEP 11/12
Place in a skillet slightly covered with cooking oil and cook 6 sides until golden brown (medium heat)
The pancake mix acts as a glue, so it doesn't fall off and it's baked well
STEP 12/12
Cut it into bite-sized pieces and it's done
Tofu for frying is harder than tofu for stew
If you can tell the difference, use tofu for frying
