Cooking Steps

Prepare the horse mackerel by trimming the scales and seasoning them.
STEP 2/6
Coat the horse mackerel with flour.
STEP 3/6
Coat the horse mackerel with egg water.
STEP 4/6
Coat the horse mackerel with bread crumbs.
STEP 5/6
If you press the horse mackerel, the bread crumbs get on it more evenly.
STEP 6/6
Fry the breadcrumbed horse mackerel until golden brown and it's done.
It's really good with tartar sauce. Add enough oil to the pan to make it look like it's getting stuck.
