STEP 1/10
First, soak the hard refrigerated tteokbokki rice cake in water for 30 minutes.
If you use soft rice cake, please skip this process.
When I make tteokbokki at home, I usually use rice cakes, but this time I used wheat cakes.
STEP 2/10
Please cut the fish cake into bite-sized pieces and prepare the green onion diagonally.
STEP 3/10
It's time to make curry tteokbokki sauce.
Add 2/3T of red pepper paste, 2/3T of red pepper powder, 1T of soy sauce, 2/3T of sugar, and 2T of curry powder and mix well.
STEP 4/10
Pour 350ml of water into a pot and mix well with the sauce.
I added plenty of water to make the soup tteokbokki style.
STEP 5/10
Turn on the heat in a pot and simmer.
STEP 6/10
Add tteokbokki rice cake when it starts to boil.
STEP 7/10
Add the fish cake and boil it together when the tteokbokki rice cake is tender.
STEP 8/10
Add pepper and simmer until all ingredients are well seasoned.
STEP 9/10
Lastly, add the green onion and boil it for another 1 to 2 minutes.
STEP 10/10
If you sprinkle sesame seeds, the soup curry tteokbokki is complete!
It looks like a regular rice cake, but it smells like curry!
You can feel the unique flavor of curry.
