Cooking Steps
STEP 1/14
Mix egg yolks, sugar and salt until white (~7 minutes). Put the bowl aside.
STEP 2/14
In another bowl, combine egg whites until bubbly. Divide sugar into four parts and mix with egg whites. Mix egg whites until meringue.

Pour the egg yolk into the egg whites. Mix gently with spatula.

Sift out the flour and baking powder. Mix gently with spatula
STEP 5/14
Pour the oil and milk into another bowl.
STEP 6/14
Remove cake batter to oil-milk bowl. Mix until oil and milk are all seeped in.
STEP 7/14
Pour oil-milk mixture into remaining dough and mix.
STEP 8/14
Pour the batter into a baking pan with baking paper on it. Lay the cake dough flat. Tap the baking pan a few times on the table (this is how to deflate the dough).
STEP 9/14
Bake at 335F (170C) for 20 minutes.
STEP 10/14
Transfer the cake to a clean cloth immediately after baking. Please open the baking paper.
STEP 11/14
Cut the ends of the cake.
STEP 12/14
Cut one corner of the cake at an angle.

Roll the cake carefully. Let the cake cool to the end while it is rolled.

Please remove the cake from the cloth after it has cooled down. Roll cake is done!
1. Prepare eggs at room temperature (mix much better with sugar). 2. When you roll the cake, make sure to roll it so that there is no air in between like gimbap. 3. Apply honey or jam before rolling the cake, if desired.
