STEP 1/8
Mix and prepare the oil tteokbokki sauce in advance. Add 2 spoons of chopped green onions, 1 spoon of red pepper powder, 1 spoon of thin red pepper powder, 2 spoons of soy sauce, 1 spoon of sugar, and 1 spoon of sesame oil.
STEP 2/8
Pour hot water over the rice cake and let it sit until soft. If you use uncured rice cakes, you can skip this process.
STEP 3/8
Prepare about 4 slices of garlic. If you don't have any, you can skip it.
STEP 4/8
When the rice cake becomes soft, drain the water and add the sliced garlic and the sauce mixed in step 1.
STEP 5/8
Mix well so that the sauce can be evenly coated.
STEP 6/8
Pour about 2 spoons of oil into the frying pan and stir-fry the rice cakes evenly coated with seasoning. When the surface of the rice cake is golden brown, it is done.
STEP 7/8
You don't need to make the broth separately, and the main ingredient is really simple because you can make it with rice cake.
STEP 8/8
The seasoning is fried in oil, so it tastes like chili oil, so it has a savory taste, and unlike the outside of the rough rice cake, it is really delicious because it is soft and chewy inside. You should try making a simple oil tteokbokki for late night snack or snacks^^
Oil tteokbokki is more delicious when made with rice cake than wheat cake.
And I recommend using thin rice cake rather than thick rice cake.
