How to boil dried taro & stir-fry taro
Taro, which is rich in dietary fiber, goes well with Yukgaejang and Dakgaejang, but if you add perilla powder and stir-fry it with vegetables, the savory and soft texture tastes like meat and is delicious. Today, I prepared how to remove the arin flavor of dried taro, how to boil it, and stir-fried taro with perilla powder.

Ingredients
  • a barrage of taro
    50g
  • leek
    1ea
  • crushed garlic
    1spoon
  • perilla oil
    1spoon
  • Korean style soy sauce
    2spoon
  • fish sauce
    2spoon
  • perilla powder
    3spoon
  • Sesame
    1spoon
  • kelp broth
    1paper cup
Cooking Steps
STEP 1/8
Pour water over dried taro and soak for at least 3 hours. Change the water about 3-4 times while soaking for Arin-flavored garnish of taro.
STEP 2/8
Wash the soaked taro
Put it in a pot and boil it with 1 spoonful of salt.
STEP 3/8
When the water boils up, toss top and bottom over and simmer for 10 minutes to allow the taro to boil evenly. Each household has a different firepower, so please adjust the time while watching the taro stand boil.
STEP 4/8
Rinse the cooked taro in cold water and cut into bite-sized pieces.
STEP 5/8
Put perilla oil in a preheated pan and stir-fry minced garlic and green onions.
STEP 6/8
If it smells like green onions, stir-fry the taro and add 1 cup of water again and bring to a boil. If there's no water again, it's okay to add water.
STEP 7/8
When the water boils down, add soy sauce 2, fish sauce 2, perilla powder 3, and a spoonful of sesame seeds
STEP 8/8
If you mix it well, you're done with the soft taro.

I didn't add perilla powder and stir-fried it. I thought it didn't taste good, so I added perilla powder and stir-fried it again I think it's less woolly. I can feel the Arin tastecrying Thank you for the recipe~^^
