STEP 1/15
First, prepare the ingredients for jjimdak like the ingredients above.
You can use one raw chicken here, you can use a chicken for stir-fried chicken, or you can use only chicken legs or wings.
You can add additional sweet potatoes for vegetables, or you can add or subtract other vegetables freely!
The amount in the picture is based on 3 to 4 servings, and the recipe is based on 2 servings.
STEP 2/15
The first thing to do is to first boil the chicken and filter out impurities. You have to do this so that it doesn't smell like chicken and you can make it delicious.
STEP 3/15
First, wash it roughly under running water.
Bone pieces are coming out.
It doesn't seem to matter much if you take it out while boiling it.
STEP 4/15
When you boil chicken, impurities come to mind.
Remove that part with a ladle.
STEP 5/15
Meanwhile, soak the glass noodles to be added to the braised coke chicken, such as Chinese noodles or flat noodles, in water. You have to soak it in advance. If you forget, you'll be in trouble later.
STEP 6/15
After boiling it for about 15 minutes, all the blood that was seen in the chicken at first disappeared. In fact, this broth can be chicken broth, but it is not used to make braised coke chicken, so throw it away.
If you want the sauce to soak well afterwards, you can cut it a little bit!!
STEP 7/15
Trim the hard vegetables first while boiling the chicken. The hard vegetables I put in the braised coke are potatoes, onions, and carrots. It would be nice to put sweet potatoes in it, right?
STEP 8/15
The seasoning ratio for braised chicken with coke is coke: soy sauce = 5:1.
It's 500mL of coke and 100mL of soy sauce based on 1kg chicken.
I put 850mL:170mL because it was a 1.7kg chicken, but I thought it would overflow a little, so I put it in another bowl for a while and added it if the soup was too chewy.
STEP 9/15
I taste it once in a while
It's too salty => Add a little more coke.
The seasoning is too strong => Add more water!
STEP 10/15
While the spicy chicken marinated in the chicken, cut the green onions and cheongyang peppers in advance and prepare them. The hard vegetables were also big, so I cut the green onions into big pieces.
STEP 11/15
At first, the onion is alive, but you can see it's dying. I'm going through it once in a while so that it can be seasoned evenly.
STEP 12/15
And add 1 spoon of minced garlic in the middle.
If you boil it down for about 30 minutes, the onions start to soften and the potatoes start to cut when you touch them with chopsticks, as shown in the picture on the right.
STEP 13/15
When the hard vegetables have softened to some extent, add the green onions and cheongyang peppers, which are the firm vegetables, and add the well-soaked glass noodles.
STEP 14/15
If you boil it for 5-10 more minutes, the braised coke chicken is complete!! Isn't this really a simple recipe for braised spicy chicken?
STEP 15/15
Lastly, turn off the gas stove and sprinkle sesame seeds to finish. The color of the onion becomes transparent and the color of the jjimdak is very delicious.
My mother, who doesn't like the smell of chicken, admired it because she doesn't like it.
Make sure to follow the recipe for super simple coke braised chicken :)
You can also use a flat coke.
Personally, Coca Cola feels a little cleaner than Pepsi Cola. Pepsi Cola is sweeter and tends to become more sticky later on.
