Bossam/Sweet and Sour Pork!!! (Bossam)
This is my second time making bossam in America. This time, I made it with my friend. Ingredients
  • Pork
    700g
  • Soybean paste
    1TBSP
  • Garlic
    enough
  • Cheongyang red pepper
    1-2ea
  • ground pepper
    suitably
  • instant coffee
    1TBSP
Cooking Steps
STEP 1/6
Only one of the two pieces of meat shown in the image was used.
Pork belly for cooking Bossam
STEP 2/6
Soak it in water for 30 minutes to get rid of the color
Leave the pork in the water to remove blood for 30 mins approx.
STEP 3/6
Boil the pork with the prepared ingredients.
Start to boil the pork with ingredients (garlic, spicy pepper, pepper powder, soy bean paste)
STEP 4/6
Add coffee powder after 5 to 10 minutes after it starts to boil. Then simmer for another 30-40 minutes over medium heat.
Once it starts to boil, add coffee powder after 5-10 mins. And boil in the medium temperature.
STEP 5/6
When it boils, take it out and cool it down.
Once it is completed, keep it cool by taking out from the pot.
STEP 6/6
It's delicious if you cut it into pieces and eat it with prepared kimchi, fresh kimchi, and perilla leaves.
Once it is cool down (not until too cold), slice it!
