[Home snack] Octopus potato salad. - Volvo
When you're tired of octopus sashimi dipped in red pepper paste! I made a Spanish dish, Volvo (octopus potato salad), a self-cultivated octopus. If you boil octopus for a long time, it becomes softer and has a different texture from the chewy octopus sashimi. Easy and nice octopus dish because you don't need to use self-cooked octopus. It's also good for guests!

Ingredients

Cooking Steps
STEP 1/7
Scrape the potato peel from running water with the back of a knife to remove the peel. (Even a little bit of the peel is delicious) Cut it into bite-sized pieces.

Add 1 teaspoon salt to boiling water and boil the potatoes for 5 minutes. Remove the boiled potatoes and mix with 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 teaspoon paprika powder. (If you don't have paprika powder, you can replace it with fine red pepper powder!)

Turn the air fryer at 200 degrees for 10 minutes.
STEP 4/7
Put the octopus and 2 bay leaves (optional) in a pressure cooker, place 1cm of water, and boil for 7 minutes. (Boil at least 10 minutes per 500g.)
STEP 5/7
Cut the boiled octopus, one leg at a time, then mix in 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 teaspoon paprika.
STEP 6/7
Cook the octopus on the outside slightly with a gas torch (you can cook it quickly in a frying pan over high heat instead of a gas torch)
STEP 7/7
Place potatoes and octopus on a plate and sprinkle paprika powder and you're done!
It's delicious even if you sprinkle parsley and lemon juice a little bit according to your preference. It's delicious to boil ramen with more water added to boiled octopus water!
