Delicious steamed chicken :) (Jjimdak - Korean Braised Chicken)
I think it's been more than a year since I last ate jjimdak. Then last night, when I was so hungry, I was watching a jjimdak mukbang, and I thought I should make it and try it, so I put it into action this morning! "Thinking is easy, acting is difficult, and to put one's thoughts into action is the most difficult thing in the world." by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe It's one of my favorite quotes. I feel like I'm too serious about this situation, but...LOL 1 Cup = 250 ml

    2TBSP
  • Garlic
    1pack
  • chili
    1ea
  • Oligosaccharide
    little
  • Sesame oil
    little
Cooking Steps
STEP 1/14
I bought this number of wings.
STEP 2/14
I tend to cut off a lot of fat.
Bring to a boil in water. As the water started to boil, I boiled it for about 5 more minutes.
STEP 3/14
Remove the slightly boiled chicken from the pot and place it in a large container.
STEP 4/14
Add 1 cup of water.
STEP 5/14
Add 1/2 Cup of soy sauce + 2 TPSP of sugar + 2 TBSP of mirin.
I think I marinated it in this sauce for about 30 to 40 minutes
STEP 6/14
Chop the peppers with a can of garlic and habanae
STEP 7/14
Add minced garlic and habanero to the marinated chicken in soy sauce/water/sugar. I marinated it for another 10 minutes.
STEP 8/14
Prepare vegetables while the chicken is pickled.
STEP 9/14
Prepare the glass noodles at the same time.
(I'm too lazy to put the glass noodles in cold water, so I blanch them slightly.)
STEP 10/14
Add 1/2 cup more water when transferring sufficiently salted chicken and seasoning to a large pot. Bring to a boil over high heat.
STEP 11/14
When the chicken starts to boil, add the potatoes.
STEP 12/14
When the potatoes are half cooked, add all the vegetables.
STEP 13/14
Add the noodles that were soaked when the vegetables were cooked properly and boil them a little more over low heat.
Lastly, add some oligosaccharide and sesame oil.
(Personally, I think it would be better not to add sesame oil.)
STEP 14/14
The first jjimdak I made is complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's so delicious...
