The rice cake skewers that I often bought in front of school when I was young!! I missed the taste, so I made it :) If you know the ratio, make enough sauce and take it out when you need it :)

  • Tteokbokki and rice cake
    200g
  • Cooking oil
    ea
  • Starch syrup
    2Ts
  • crushed garlic
    1Ts
  • Ketchup
    1Ts
  • Sugar
    1Ts
  • red pepper paste
    1/2Ts
  • Red pepper powder
    1/2Ts
  • Water
    1/2Ts
  • Soy sauce
    1/2Ts

Cooking Steps
STEP 1/6
First, blanch the tteokbokki rice cake in boiling water
STEP 2/6
Remove the blanched rice cake and drain
STEP 3/6
You can stick it in a proper amount on the skewer, but I put about five on it :)
Pour enough oil into the pan and fry the rice cakes
STEP 4/6
In another pan, add 2Ts starch syrup, 1Ts minced garlic, 1Ts ketchup, 1Ts sugar, 1/2Ts red pepper paste, 1/2Ts red pepper powder, 1/2Ts water, 1/2Ts soy sauce and bring to a boil
STEP 5/6
Spread the sauce on the front and back
STEP 6/6
Rice cake skewers are done
If you just put sausage in here, it becomes sotteok, which is popular these days
1 Ts = 15 ml = 1 tablespoon 1ts = 5ml = 1 teaspoon
