Simple lotus root dish. Beef lotus root curry
As I get older year by year, what I feel with my skin is that it's really easier to gain weight now and the taste of rice is better as time goes by. I know I can't be free from the temptation of carbohydrates, but if I try to reduce it, it's hard to stop eating warm rice, not looking at sweets or other snacks. It's not that hard to get Korean rice here in Canada either. I live in Toronto, a big city, so I have better access to Korean food. There is rice imported from Korea, and you can also purchase processed products that grow Korean varieties in North America. Still, I felt the taste of direct imported rice was better. Warm rice is sweet just with kimchi, but today, I'm going to try a recipe for delicious curry that boasts a perfect combination with rice. I usually like to make it with potatoes, but this time, I added lotus roots. Should we make a more attractive lotus root dish and beef lotus root curry together as it maintains the texture until the end?

STEP 2/8
First, shred the onions about 0.5cm apart and cut the pumpkin diagonally to a similar thickness. Peel the lotus root with potato fillers, wash it once, and slice it to 0.5cm thick. Please prepare the chives that will be used for garnish by cutting them into 0.3cm thick pieces.
STEP 3/8
Preheat the pot over high heat for 3 minutes, lower it to medium heat, stir-fry the onion for 2 minutes first, flavor it, then add the beef sirloin slice and stir-fry it for 5 minutes or so. Then add 600mL of water and bring to a boil.
STEP 4/8
When it boils up, remove the impurities and grease once, then add lotus roots and pumpkins and bring to a boil.
STEP 5/8
Now add the curry block and bring to a boil while dissolving well. If you use a sieve, you can dissolve curry blocks in the soup more quickly.
STEP 6/8
Compared to powder curry, block curry has a slightly thinner concentration. It looks like it's going to be a lot of soup and bland, but it's often well seasoned, so take a look and if it's still bland, add one more curry block or season it with salt. Now, if you boil enough on warm rice, you're done making more attractive curry with lotus roots.
STEP 7/8
Usually, I like to mash potatoes cooked in curry and add them to rice, but the texture of lotus roots was quite different and good. Even if you boil it for a long time, the unique firm texture is maintained, so even when you leave it for a long time, it's delicious as if it's done quickly. It's a recipe that I want to recommend to those who are looking for a different lotus root dish.
STEP 8/8
Today, we had a recipe for how to make curry delicious, which you can enjoy more with beef. I made it with lotus root instead of the usual ingredients. It was delicious enough to boil it plentifully and eat it twice. Why don't you fill up the table with unique lotus root dishes? Enjoy your day! :)
1) Stir-fry onion and beef enough to flavor. 2) Stir well enough after adding the curry block, as it is easy to burn.
