Making Injeolmi Toast :: A simple snack with candles! I made it
Rice cakes are delicious when you eat them quickly, but if you leave the leftover in the freezer, you won't eat them and are left unattended. LOL A simple snack that can be made into neglected injeolmi or Sirutteok! I tried making injeolmi toast :)

Ingredients
  • a plain bread
    2piece
  • Honey
  • Cheese
  • an almond slice
Cooking Steps
STEP 1/9
If it was in the freezer, defrost it in advance and gently shake off the junk on the rice cake. It's to gently separate the soybean water from the rice cake. You can wear cooking gloves and brush it off with your hands or with a cooking brush.
STEP 2/9
Spread the honey on one side of the bread.
STEP 3/9
Place cheese on top of honey. You can use sliced cheese, mozzarella, etc. at home :)
STEP 4/9
Place injeolmi or steamed rice cake on top of cheese. If the rice cake is too hard, it doesn't get sticky when you grill it. You have to put it up when it's soft. It's good to microwave it beforehand!
STEP 5/9
Apply honey to one side of the bread to top, and place on top of the rice cake. Injeolmi Toast is easy, right? If you stop here, it's almost complete
STEP 6/9
Now it's time to bake! You have to cook it slowly over low heat to transfer heat to the bread, so the cheese melts and the rice cake becomes more chewy. Bake on the lowest heat for a long time. When one side is done baking, bake again on the flip side :) It will be crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside!
STEP 7/9
Remove the well-done toast from the pan and add the finishing topping. Sprinkle some honey on one side. It's sweeter if you put honey on it, and it's good because the junk that goes up as a topping doesn't fall off easily!
STEP 8/9
Now I'm going to put the bean curd on top. Before making injeolmi toast, put the separated soybean water in a sieve and shake it gently :) You have to put the soybean water in a sieve and shake it off evenly, and the particles are fine
It's going up as a topping!
STEP 9/9
Lastly, add almond slice and that's it! To give you a plating tip, I cut the injeolmi toast with a good knife before sprinkling the almond slices. I cut it from the cutting board first and then put it on a plate. If you cut it all and put it on a plate, you can't see the knife marks well, so you can plate the injeolmi toast more beautifully!
