STEP 1/10
1. I washed the lotus root with water.
There's a lot of soil on the lotus root, right? Wash it in running water.
STEP 2/10
2. Peel with a potato peeler.
STEP 3/10
3. Slice it as thin as possible.
I like thinner ones better.
I cut it easily and evenly using a chopping knife.^^
STEP 4/10
4. I washed it in water.
STEP 5/10
5. I'm going to make the dough thinner.
If you don't have frying powder, pancake powder or flour is fine.
The ratio is... 1/4 cup of powder, 1/4 cup of water.
I didn't have enough, so I made another dough.
I put in half a cup each.
STEP 6/10
6. Add two pinch of salt and one pinch of pepper and mix gently with the dough.
It's thin, so it's easy to break^^
STEP 7/10
7. Checking the temperature of the oil.. When you drop the batter and it comes up right away! It's the right temperature^^
STEP 8/10
8. It's fried once.
If lotus roots come to mind and turn slightly yellow, please take them out.
STEP 9/10
9. I'll fry it one more time.
You have to fry it twice to make it crispier and yellowish..
It stays crispy over time^^
