First, cut potatoes, carrots, onions, and beef into big pieces.

Place 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup cooking wine, 1/2 cup soy sauce and 2 cups water in a pot.

Put the potatoes and beef first and boil them,
When it starts to boil, lower the heat to low, close the lid, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

I boiled it for 15 minutes! After 15 minutes, remove the lid and add the carrots and onions.
If the seasoning is good or salty at this time, you need to add more water.
(You have to boil it down more, so it needs to be bland to be normal!)
Then, close the lid again and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
