STEP 1/7
Material preparation
STEP 2/7
| Slice garlic into big pieces
| Chop carrots and onions in big chunks
| Chop green onions
| Mix with ingredients for ssamjang
Tip. Each restaurant has a different salty and sweet taste. Add starch syrup while tasting. If it's still salty, add more sugar.
STEP 3/7
| Stir-fry garlic and green onions on high heat in an oiled pan
STEP 4/7
| When green onions become transparent, stir-fry minced pork
| When the meat starts to cook, add cooking wine and stir-fry it
Tip. Put it in to catch the smell of meat. If you don't have it, you can add pepper or ginger powder.
STEP 5/7
| Stir-fry minced onions, carrots, and ssamjang
Tip. Add half of the amount of ssamjang you prepared. Save the rest for the liver.
STEP 6/7
| Add rice and mix evenly
Tip. Taste it and add more sauce if it's not enough.
STEP 7/7
Ssamjang fried rice is done!
1. If you have ssamjang at home, you don't have to make it.
2. There might be some ssamjang left.
3. It's enough for two people.
4. You can cut the leftover grilled meat into bite-size pieces.
5. If you put a fried egg on top, it purifies the taste of ssamjang, which can be salty.
