While organizing the refrigerator, I collected the sesame leaves that were left little by little, and there were quite a lot. So I made pickled perilla leaves that I can leave for a little longer than steamed perilla leaves.

  • Soy sauce
    150ml
  • Sugar

Cooking Steps
STEP 1/7
Prepare 25 perilla leaves by washing them thoroughly under running water and shaking off the water.
STEP 2/7
Wash the glass bowl with boiling hot water and disinfect it.
STEP 3/7
Make soy sauce water by mixing 300ml of water, 150ml of soy sauce, and 3 tablespoons of sugar.
STEP 4/7
Boil soy sauce water in a pot, remove it from the heat as soon as it boils, and cool it lukewarmly.
STEP 5/7
Put perilla leaves in a sterilized glass bowl.
STEP 6/7
Pour lukewarm soy sauce to soak the perilla leaves well, cover it with a lid, and let it marinate for one day at room temperature.
STEP 7/7
Leave the perilla leaves at room temperature for one night in the refrigerator!
Try different proportions of soy sauce, water, and sugar depending on your taste and taste before boiling soy sauce water.
