STEP 1/7
Please prepare the squid.
Wash the chilled or frozen squid with clean water and put it in a container.
STEP 2/7
Prepare leftover soju, lemon juice or vinegar.
If you don't have any leftover soju, you can open it again (^^)
STEP 3/7
Put 100ml of soju in a cup.
If you can't estimate 100ml, pour in half a cup
STEP 4/7
Prepare lemon juice or vinegar.
If you don't have lemon juice, you can use vinegar!
STEP 5/7
Add 3T of lemon juice (or vinegar) to a cup of soju.
If you want a stronger deodorization, set the ratio of soju and vinegar to 5:3!!
(If you have to cook squid in a hurry)
STEP 6/7
Mix soju and vinegar well.
STEP 7/7
Put enough water to cover the squid in a container and mix well with soju and vinegar.
Close the lid and soak it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes
Finished removing the fishy smell!!
- Soju and lemon are the most common ingredients, but they are also effective in removing fishy smell!
If you don't have lemon juice, you can use vinegar ^^
- If you apply it to squid with removed intestines, the fishy smell is much stronger
- In the case of frozen squid that has not been removed from the intestines, it is better to soak it for +20 more minutes!!)
- Stir-fried squid made with squid that removes the fishy smell is a delicacy!!The recipe will go up soon
