#Following Okinawa's rice balls #Spam rice balls and tofu bean p
On One Night Food Trip, I ate Okinawa rice balls that Gongminji is famous in Okinawa. I saw it and thought it would be quite easy to make, so I made it. It was Spam Onigini, the most basic original rice ball that Gong Min-ji ate, and Tofu Soybean Paste Onigini with tofu and soybean paste, which is a special rice ball, and I made it in my own way.

Cooking Steps
STEP 1/17
I prepared seasoned oil because I thought it would give you a sweet and soy sauce taste if it goes into spam rice balls. Originally, Okinawa rice balls are served with non-salty soybean paste, but this time, they put in a completely different flavor.
STEP 2/17
And to make a Japanese rolled omelet, beat the eggs, add a little bit of flavored soy sauce or tsuyu, then add a little sugar and mix well.
STEP 3/17
After making the egg roll like that, cut it into bite-size pieces. Or you can cut it into half the size of seaweed for gimbap. I thought it would be more stable if it went in big.
STEP 4/17
Prepare spam by cutting it so that it is not too thick.
STEP 5/17
Bake spam in a pan until golden brown.
STEP 6/17
Drain the tofu. I used dongdubu. Then it's easy to mail because the tissue is hard.
STEP 7/17
Pour tofu, oil, and fry. I'd like to have a brownish front and back, please.
STEP 8/17
Then all the ingredients are ready. Put the sweet vinegar water in the seasoning oil into the rice. Add salt and sesame oil and mix well to make seasoned rice. For other ingredients, cut half of the tofu, spam, egg roll, seasoning oil, ssamjang, and seaweed for gimbap.
STEP 9/17
Since you cut it in half, spread the whole layer so that you think it's a little thick. When I looked closely, the amount of rice in Okinawa rice balls was quite large. It's thick. The thicker the rice was, the more stable it was.
STEP 10/17
On the original rice ball and spam onigini, put the seasoned oil first. For the special rice ball and tofu soybean paste onigini, put ssamjang on one side first.
STEP 11/17
And put the father tofu on top. I put two on top. That's how you can fit each other. Then, put the rolled omelet on top. Looking at it like this, I thought it was better to cut the egg roll into this size and put it on top. Place spam ham on top of egg roll. Then all the ingredients are on top.
STEP 12/17
The original Okinawan rice ball with Abura Miso is covered with soybean paste sauce, and I gave it a sweet and salty soy sauce taste with seasoning oil.
STEP 13/17
Now, cover the other half with rice. If you cover it like this, it's Okinawa rice ball~~~ It's comfortable because there's no need to roll like kimbap.
STEP 14/17
You grab the rice from both sides and eat it. It's a cross section of the original rice balls or spam onigini. I think it's easier to eat if the egg rolls are big~~~
STEP 15/17
It's an Okinawan rice ball style, wrapped in parchment paper so that you can carry it around and eat it. If you look at the package, you can see Spam Onigini. It was exactly the visual that Gong Minji ate on One Night Food Trip.
STEP 16/17
This is tofu doenjang onigini. If you put it in parchment paper and make it easy to eat, it's done. I made it after seeing the tofu that Gong Min-ji ate in the One Night Food Trip and the soybean paste sauce.
STEP 17/17
These two are packed, so it's good to eat outdoors. Each ingredient tastes good and is good for a hearty meal. The original spam onigini was a combination of salty spam ham, sweet egg rolls, and slightly addictive seasoning and oil. Special tofu soybean paste onigini goes well with salty spam ham and ssamjang, along with the sweet taste of tofu. If it had tofu in it, I don't think it would have tasted like this with just spam. Ssamjang was the best move~~~ I was so full and it tasted good. The ingredients are simple. It's easy to do.
Okinawa rice balls are a kind of square gimbap. The most basic is rice balls with spam, eggs, and aburamiso, which is a soybean paste sauce. Regular soybean paste is salty, so if you want to use regular soybean paste, mix honey with soybean paste and make it less salty, you can enjoy delicious Okinawa rice balls.
