[Imitating American star chef] Tomato sauce (Marinara Sauce
This is the Marinara Sauce recipe from the episode of Perfect Pasta of Barefoot Contessa: Back to Basics by Chef Ina Gartner, a Food Network channel in the United States. It's the simplest tomato sauce I've ever tried, so I'm putting it on top.

  • Holtomatoes

  • crushed garlic
    1.5tsp
  • chopped onion
    1cup
  • olive oil
    1T
  • red wine
    1/2cup
  • parsley
    1T
  • Salt
    1.5t
  • ground pepper
    1/2t
Cooking Steps
STEP 1/4
Grease a saucepan with olive oil and stir-fry chopped onions for about 5-7 minutes, then add ground garlic and stir-fry for another 1 minute.
STEP 2/4
Pour red wine into the stir-fried onion + ground garlic and boil the wine over high heat.
STEP 3/4
Add canned tomatoes, parsley, salt and pepper to wine-boiled onions + ground garlic, stir, and reduce to low heat, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes.
STEP 4/4
Tomato sauce that can be applied to various dishes is complete.
