Making Shabu-Shabu with Shellfish
As my husband is doing business in the market, I know very well what kind of products are in season. That's why we're using fresh and good ingredients that are in season! This time, cockles are in season! So I bought the trimmed ones at the market and made shrimp shabu-shabu. Shabu-shabu with fresh and refreshing soup! Sea clams are more delicious when eaten with jjukumi or octopus. Both are seafood, so if you boil it for too long, it'll get tough, so eat it right away when it's slightly cooked Then let's learn how to make it!

Cooking Steps
STEP 1/8
First, I bought a trimmed clam.
Shake the bag gently, take it out, and wash it gently in salt water.
It's better to remove the intestines. That way, there's no redness and it's delicious.
STEP 2/8
Rinse with cold water and drain.
If you have webfoot octopus or octopus, trim it well and drain it on one side.
Put an appropriate amount of water in the broth and bring to a boil with no medicinal herbs, 6 anchovies (replaced with depots), half an onion, a piece of kelp, and a little bit of soju.
STEP 3/8
Take out only one ladle and make a ladle of sauce stock, 2 Ts of dark soy sauce, 1 Ts of mirim, 1 Ts of vinegar, 0.5 Ts of sugar, and a little wasabi.
STEP 4/8
Color the rest of the broth with soy sauce. If the seasoning is bland, adjust it with salt.
STEP 5/8
When it's done, strain it through a sieve.
Cut the cabbage into appropriate sizes and wash it.
Wash the bean sprouts clean.
Shred the onions not too thick, chop the green onions into large pieces and tear the mushrooms apart.
Please trim the crown daisy and wash it.
STEP 6/8
Now cover the hot pot with vegetables and mushrooms and add 2 handfuls of the middle host.
Now, when it starts to boil, soak the octopus and cockles and cook them slightly and eat them while cutting them with scissors.
STEP 7/8
It's even better if you dip it in the sauce.
STEP 8/8
It's good to add noodles to the end!
You need to remove the intestines to eat it so that it's not uncomfortable when you eat it, so make sure to remove it before you eat it If it's cooked too much, it gets tough and tastes bad.
