Plain saury ssamjang and cabbage ssam
Today, I'm going to eat the regular menu of Sowon and Mami. It's saury ssamjang and cabbage ssam. I've posted it once before, but it was almost a solo blog at the time, so a rogue mother who doesn't like saury... My husband likes it, so he puts a can of saury on it and sometimes buys and grills biological saury. It's not fishy at all, but it's a perfect combination to eat with saury and cabbage wraps! Let's hurry up and make it^^

Ingredients
  • Cabbage
    1/2pack
  • Saury
    1can
  • red pepper paste
    1spoon
  • Soybean paste
    2spoon
  • onion
    1/2ea
  • Cheongyang red pepper
    2ea
  • crushed garlic
    1spoon
  • perilla powder
    2spoon
  • black bean powder
    1spoon
  • Sesame oil
    1spoon
Cooking Steps
STEP 1/11
I cut the cabbage in half! Cover the cut section with a little water on the kitchen towel and wrap it well with plastic wrap to prevent the cross section from turning black. I heard that if you keep it like this, it'll keep it fresh^^
STEP 2/11
I washed half the cabbage in running water and soaked it in vinegar for about 10 minutes.
STEP 3/11
Cut the half in half, put it on a plate, put about half a cup of water, put it in a bag, and microwave it! If you heat it for 10 minutes, it's cooked just right. In the meantime, I'll prepare the saury ssamjang.
STEP 4/11
Chop the onion into small pieces. Remove the seeds of Cheongyang red pepper and prepare it!
STEP 5/11
Put the saury on a sieve and throw away the soup and rinse it lightly with running water.
STEP 6/11
Place in a bowl and mash with spoon. If you rub it a few times, it gets crushed easily!
STEP 7/11
Add chopped onion and 1 spoon of minced garlic and stir-fry in oiled pan over medium heat. Stir-fry the onions until they are translucent.
STEP 8/11
Add soybean paste and red pepper paste and stir-fry for about a minute.
STEP 9/11
Stir-fry saury and hot pepper for 1 minute
STEP 10/11
The most important thing is to stir-fry perilla powder and bean powder! If you don't have bean powder, you can take it out, but it's delicious if you add perilla powder. It's important to control the concentration of ssamjang and lower the salt level so that it's not salty!
STEP 11/11
Saury ssamjang is done! Turn off the heat and put in the sesame oil.
