Cooking Steps
STEP 1/21
The ingredients are prepared like this.
STEP 2/21
The requirements for the practical test of Korean cooking technician "Steamed Egg" are as follows. 1)Salted shrimp uses only soup, and shredded red pepper and green onion are cut into 1cm long and used as garnish. 2)Shred the stone mushrooms, season them, stir-fry them, and use them as garnish. 3)Steamed eggs are steamed in a double boiler or steamer.
STEP 3/21
Soak the mushrooms in cold water.
STEP 4/21
In the same way, salted shrimp is made by adding salted shrimp and water.
STEP 5/21
Prepare an egg by breaking it and filling it with 100ml of cold water. Be careful not to forget the process of adding 100ml of water when making egg water!
STEP 6/21
Put salted shrimp on a sieve and prepare only the soup.
STEP 7/21
Add 1 tablespoon of salted shrimp soup to the egg and stir well.
STEP 8/21
Put the egg water on a sieve.
STEP 9/21
Place the egg water in a sieve in a test room bowl (rice bowl). Roll up the foam thoroughly. No foam is needed to make a smooth steamed egg.
STEP 10/21
Cut the green onions diagonally so that they can come out 1cm long. If you do the green part, it'll be a pretty garnish.
STEP 11/21
Cut the red pepper into proper lengths so that it is not too long. Take out the well-soaked mushrooms and mix them until black water comes out. Rinse it again after rubbing it.
STEP 12/21
Remove the hard part of the stone mushrooms with a knife, place the largest-leaved mushrooms at the bottom, collect the small ones, wrap them up, and chop them into thin slices.
STEP 13/21
Season the mushrooms with sesame oil and salt.
STEP 14/21
Stir-fry the mushrooms slightly in a frying pan. It's seasoned with sesame oil, so there's no need to add oil. Stir-fry the mushrooms at a lukewarm temperature because they cringe when cooked over high heat.
STEP 15/21
Cover dry cotton cloth in a cold bowl in a test bowl.
STEP 16/21
To prevent water from accumulating in the middle of the lid due to water vapor, a cold bowl wrapped in cotton cloth is used as a lid when steaming eggs.
STEP 17/21
Place cotton cloth or kitchen towel on bottom of pot. This is to prevent the bowl from moving up and down when heating.
STEP 18/21
Add water to half the steamed egg bowl and place the egg bowl on top.
STEP 19/21
Cover it with cotton cloth again. Cover the pot, too. Steam over medium heat for 13 to 15 minutes. Steamed eggs are well cooked if you reduce the heat, open the lid, and shake the bowl.
STEP 20/21
Place garnish on low heat.
STEP 21/21
Cover again and cook the garnish lightly for about 30 seconds. Until the green onions are cooked!
You have to remove the foam from the egg water to make a smooth steamed egg.
