STEP 1/8
Grilled beltfish is a menu that you can make relatively simple. The key point is to season hairtail well and catch the fishy smell. First, remove the head, tail, and intestines of hairtail and cut them into pieces. It's a trimmed hairtail, so I only cut it into pieces. These days, there are many things that are trimmed and sold at large marts and markets.

Here's the point of my grilled hairtail. Usually, salt is sprinkled directly on hairtail for seasoning. I make salt water and put it to sleep. If you sprinkle salt directly, some parts are salty and some parts are bland, so if you make salt water, the liver doubles evenly. Salt water or salt seasoning also helps to harden fish meat. So it prevents the fish from breaking when grilled. First, put 2 tablespoons of thick salt in 2 cups of water with a paper cup and melt it evenly. And add 2 tablespoons of soju to control the fishy smell.

Marinate for 30-40 minutes. Turn the hairtail over once in the middle so that the seasoning is evenly soaked.

Drain and cut hairtail. If you do this, the skin will not burst and the shape will be baked beautifully

Drain the kitchen towel again.

Coat the hairtail with flour evenly back and forth, and the point is to shake it off once after applying flour because thinly coated hairtail can save the taste of hairtail

Put 2 tablespoons of canola oil in a heated pan first and grill the hairtail. And if you don't have enough oil, add 1-2 tablespoons of oil in the middle. Wait until it is golden and turn it upside down. Don't flip it multiple times.

Do not let the heat be too strong and bake.
It is said that hairtail originated from a fish that looks like a knife. Most of the hairtail we eat are silver hairtail and black hairtail, but the ones we caught by fishing are silver hairtail. You can think of it as black hairtail fish caught with a net. It is often divided into Jeju silver hairtail and Mokpo black hairtail. As its name suggests, silver hairtail is characterized by shiny silver scales. Black hairtail fish have a little bit of a dark color. Silver hairtail is hard meat.
