STEP 1/10
Prepare 1 potato and 1 squid.
Soak potatoes in water to get rid of starch. For squid, it's good to use a whole squid to make it look good. I prepared cut squid. It's good to peel the squid and cook it, but I omitted it.
STEP 2/10
Cut the squid into bite-size pieces.
STEP 3/10
Cut potatoes into thick half-moon slices.
STEP 4/10
I prepared one green pepper. If you want to add red pepper or spicy pepper at home, it's good to add one by one. I only used one pepper because I only have one.
STEP 5/10
Make the sauce. Put 2 spoons of red pepper paste, 1 spoon of chopped green onion, 1/2 spoon of soy sauce, 1 spoon of minced garlic, 1 spoon of cooking wine, 2 spoon of honey, 1 spoon of sesame oil, and a little bit of pepper powder in a cup of water and mix them well. There was no ginger juice, so I skipped it. I used cooking wine instead of rice wine.
STEP 6/10
Put 2/3 of the seasoning in a pot and add the dried shrimp. I recommend large barley shrimp, but I also use it as an ingredient at home.
STEP 7/10
Add some potatoes and boil it on fire.
STEP 8/10
Add the squid when it starts to boil and the potatoes are almost cooked.
STEP 9/10
And add all the remaining sauce.
STEP 10/10
Add some chili peppers.
Squid should be stir-fried quickly because it will be tough for a long time.
When I put in squid, there's a lot of water. Cook while pouring the ingredients. When the squid is cooked to a certain extent, braised squid and potatoes are complete.
Unlike other boiled squid and potatoes, braised squid is a dish with soup. It tastes better when you eat it with soup. I recommend you to drink it with soup^^ Children eat sweet things well because they don't have a spicy taste.
