STEP 1/10
Peel potatoes, cut into appropriate sizes, and boil them until fully cooked.
STEP 2/10
When it's done, drain the water completely and leave it for a minute. Make it fluffy by blowing off the steam.
STEP 3/10
Mash potatoes with a fork or masher, then add potato starch or glutinous rice flour. I use 2T each.
STEP 4/10
Put on gloves and knead the potato and powder to mix well.
STEP 5/10
You can make it round and flat in the size you want.
STEP 6/10
Mix all the stewed sauce.
STEP 7/10
Put oil and butter on the pan,
STEP 8/10
Place potato batter on low heat and bake.
STEP 9/10
You can grill it on top of the dried seaweed if you like. Pour the stewed sauce and put it on high heat, and when the sauce starts to boil, slowly boil over low heat.
STEP 10/10
Turn it upside down or pour the sauce on it and cook it thoroughly!
Glutinous rice powder can be replaced with potato starch, and potato starch can also be replaced with glutinous rice powder. The texture of the rice cake varies depending on which potato starch or glutinous rice powder you put in, but both are delicious. If you want a chewy texture, you can add potato starch.
