STEP 1/16
Add sesame oil to flour and mix by hand. You can skip sesame oil. I put it in to make it more savory and delicious.
STEP 2/16
Add ginger powder and salt and mix. You can add ginger juice instead of ginger powder. If you want a strong ginger scent, you can increase the amount. When you add ginger juice, don't add it in this process, but when you knead it.
STEP 3/16
Please put it down on the sieve.
STEP 4/16
Add water and knead for about 5 minutes until the surface is smooth,
STEP 5/16
Wrap it in plastic and let it ripen for 30 minutes. If you use ginger juice instead of ginger powder, you can add it in this process.
STEP 6/16
Place water and sugar in a saucepan, bring to a boil without stirring until sugar dissolves, then remove from heat and add honey and ginger juice. You can increase the amount of ginger juice to your liking. It's delicious even with cinnamon powder.
STEP 7/16
Roll the dough as thin as possible
STEP 8/16
Cut into 2*4 or 3*5 sizes.
STEP 9/16
After making 5 lines of cuts
STEP 10/16
Put one end in the middle of the sheath and take it out to shape it. When you put in the sheath, it's better to make the middle longer and the sheaths on both sides shorter. If you put in a lot of cuts, it gets twisted a lot. The number of sheaths depends on your preference
STEP 11/16
a shape with five cuts
STEP 12/16
7 sheaths required
STEP 13/16
When shaped, fry crispy on low heat. The temperature should be enough to sink for a while and rise when you put in the pebbles. Fry slowly at low temperatures to make it crispy and smooth. When fried at high temperatures, it becomes soggy even though it looks crispy. The shape doesn't come out smooth either.
STEP 14/16
Make sure to fry at low temperatures.
STEP 15/16
I'll soak it in honey
STEP 16/16
Put it on a cooling net, remove the excess honey, and enjoy it. Doesn't it look delicious when it's shiny? It's crispy and sweet, so it's great to serve with tea as dessert.
